Dear Fellow Alumni,

On behalf of the Alumni Association, I am pleased to let you know that the Founder's Day celebrations and march to the school from St. Michael's Cathedral will go ahead as planned on 10th March 2006

Thanks to parents and alumni who have been working in the background to support Head of School Hugh Mawby and his team, we are pleased to advise that Radio Kansai and Kobe Shimbun will be covering the event in order to communicate widely the St. Michael's spirit and the showcase how our school serves the needs of the Kobe international community - past, present and future.  Paul Lynch, parent and School Council member, British Consulate General in Osaka has kindly agreed to attend the day's events.  Fritz Leonhardt, Honorary Chairman 60th Anniversary Ball, and Komei Kure will also be attending. The Alumni Association will be donating cakes from Patisserie Bigot for all children, parents and teacher to celebrate the occasion.

As informed in my letter to you last year, we will be holding the 60th Anniversary Ball on 4th. November 2006 at the Kobe Club.  We would like to hear from you (if we have not already) to confirm your attendance.  The Ball Committee has met recently, and we have set an all-inclusive price of 12,000 yen per person for a spendid evening to remember the past and look forward to the future.  As places are limited, we would like you to indicate your attendance by informing us by email to head@smis.org or by writing the school.
