Welcome Furoshiki

Welcome Furoshiki is a free, non-profit, community service personally
welcoming foreign residents of all nationalities who are new to Japan. In the past 23 years we have welcomed over 15,000 families and individuals!

Welcome Furoshiki representatives in Tokyo, Yokohama, Saitama, Chiba, Osaka and Kobe are available to welcome and visit with you, providing a wide-range of useful information on life in Japan.

Each visit lasts approximately one hour.

During your visit you will be presented with your free welcome pack, wrapped in a traditional blue and white Furoshiki. The pack contains a wealth of information and services that will help you make your time in Japan as easy and comfortable as possible.

Your Welcome Furoshiki Representative will answer any questions you may have about living in Japan and offer advice and ideas about living in your local area. Each visit is to a family or individual to make sure we respond personally to your interests.
